Puppy Socialization Class: Our three-pronged approach to learning (or re-learning) the basics of raising a new puppy. Obedience exercises, socialization, and veterinary and behavorial topics on the most common issues that new puppies bring.
Puppy II: Cementing the obedience exercises learned in the previous puppy class under increasing levels of distraction. Loose leash heeling, jumping, and barking issues addressed in this class.
Adult Obedience and Socialization: For older dogs that may need a refresher course for manners and obedience or for those who are learning it for the first time.
Tricks Class I: A fun class for dogs that have completed basic obedience courses. Tunnel running, jumping through a hoop, shaking hands, rolling over, crawl, back up, bow, and sit pretty are among the tricks taught.
Tricks Class II: An obstacle course working with the tricks taught in the first classs with the addition of a crawl table, closed tunnel, weave poles, ramp climb and more.
The above classes are currently enrolling for sessions beginning the end of May or early June.
Tracking Class coming this spring! Beginning May 15th at 9am this class teaches the theory and mechanics of footstep tracking. This type of tracking is different than search and rescue. It is used for tracking titles, finding articles, and many other applications. Working alongside the Southern Green Mountain Schutzhund Club it is scheduled at 9am on May 15th, May 29th, June 12th, June 26th, July 10th, July 24th, August 7th August 21st, and September 4th. A pay as you go class it is $20.00 each session.
Temperament Class: This is a socialization class for those dogs who do not get along well with other dogs. The end goal is not a group of dogs playing together, like the pet socialization class, but to neutralize the dogs so that they are no longer bothered or respond aggressivley to the presence of other dogs. Also a pay as you go class for $20.00 a session it will meet at 2pm on the dates listed above in the tracking dog class.
